about us
We are NAPO members! At Your Home EditorSM, we believe that organizing your home allows you to focus on what matters most, which is not the stuff in your life, but the people in your life.
We encourage you to keep things simple and streamlined through thoughtful editing and purposeful selection of your possessions.
In case you ever wondered what an ORGANIZER'S desk looks like, this is my home office. Yes, it is usually this tidy (I never keep more than one small pile and yes, I usually work with the lights off because it's late at night). Notice my vision board on the left; I'm a daydream believer.
Our mission is to help you take control of your personal surroundings and your time via the effective use of core organizing principles. Our services are administered with the creativity of a designer's eye, the instruction of a skilled teacher, and the humor and fun of a good friend.
look what we have done...
"This is the best investment of time and money you will ever make!" Like most people, I have always had a goal to have my entire life organized in way, that while not perfect (too boring), would still relieve me of the anxiety of simultaneously try to find the electric bill that was due, to pull together the scraps of paper that constituted my "to do" list for the bridal shower I was hosting next month, and search for that new scarf that I had purchased weeks ago that I had thrown somewhere into the depths of my closet! Of course I had seen all of the shows and read books on how to get organized, and I would attempt to follow their rules and guidelines, but would eventually abandon them because the tasks were just too big and overwhelming!
Until... I happened upon an article in the newspaper on a 4 - week workshop that was being offered by Heather Lambie of Your Home Editor. What really appealed to me was that it would only be a 90 minute commitment one day a week and that rather than a traditional lecture format - it would take a more informal, relaxed approach where all of the attendees could share their challenges together with Heather. Many of us had similar issues, and with all of us interacting collectively with each other and Heather, we could all benefit from the ideas and suggestions that were discussed. Not only did I learn a great deal, I made new friends.
Heather offered numerous "Ah Ha" or "Lightbulb" suggestions that were simple and quick to employ, and have positively changed my approach to what needs to be done. The fee for the workshop more than paid for itself with the number of time saving ideas that Heather shared with all of us.
I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to take control off their life and home, while still having time to do those things that give the them joy and pleasure.
