Heather, you will be so proud to know this: because of systems I have developed through you and because of reading and following your blog posts and tips, the huge fundraising event I was planning for work remained a success--even though I collapsed three days before the event and was rushed to the hospital--out of commission.
 
Our CEO made a very strict statement to my team that they were not allowed to talk to me, text me, or email me about work while I was hospitalized. You can just imagine the drama that broke out! My team told me initially they all went into panic mode, but then the admin assistant discovered my computer was still logged on. They found a top notch critical path and task plane in my electronic files that was so well organized it was impossible for them to miss a beat.
 
The admin assistant also remembered that I use the little tickler file you introduced me. Everything was laid out in there and connected to the electronic files perfectly. They new exactly what vendor needed to be paid, they knew what chefs needed to be contacted, what vendors to greet and where. It was perfect. No sweat!
 
Also, my paper filing system was so simple and straight forward (I left the archives at my old space and color coded like you told me) that it worked for them as well. My boss was thoroughly impressed to see the way I operate.
 
I guess I said all of that to tell you that because of things I learned from you, something that could have been a complete disaster was a huge success. Everything was so well organized and planned in advance that it all worked out - even though I ironically collapsed two days before my biggest event of the year. LOL!
 
I also had an event that Friday night, as well as the following Saturday. I was out from work for eight days and three events and it all worked out. My team was super pleased with my organization and great planning. It has brought me to the next level and I attribute it all to learning from you.

"This is the best investment of time and money you will ever make!" Like most people, I have always had a goal to have my entire life organized in way, that while not perfect (too boring), would still relieve me of the anxiety of simultaneously try to find the electric bill that was due, to pull together the scraps of paper that constituted my "to do" list for the bridal shower I was hosting next month, and search for that new scarf that I had purchased weeks ago that I had thrown somewhere into the depths of my closet! Of course I had seen all of the shows and read books on how to get organized, and I would attempt to follow their rules and guidelines, but would eventually abandon them because the tasks were just too big and overwhelming!
 
Until... I happened upon an article in the newspaper on a 4 - week workshop that was being offered by Heather Lambie of Your Home Editor. What really appealed to me was that it would only be a 90 minute commitment one day a week and that rather than a traditional lecture format - it would take a more informal, relaxed approach where all of the attendees could share their challenges together with Heather. Many of us had similar issues, and with all of us interacting collectively with each other and Heather, we could all benefit from the ideas and suggestions that were discussed. Not only did I learn a great deal, I made new friends.
 
Heather offered numerous "Ah Ha" or "Lightbulb" suggestions that were simple and quick to employ, and have positively changed my approach to what needs to be done. The fee for the workshop more than paid for itself with the number of time saving ideas that Heather shared with all of us.
 
I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to take control off their life and home, while still having time to do those things that give the them joy and pleasure.

Dear Heather,
I cannot express to you how grateful I am that you came to our house and helped us organize our children's bedroom and toy room, as well as our family room.

You were absolutely right that our children would rediscover new toys that were buried underneath layers of other toys. You know how I said that my kids were afraid to go into the toy room? Well, they have been going into the toy room by themselves everyday now. They love the new layout. It's amazing how a small change makes the room more inviting and gives our kids much more room to play.

Another small thing that the boys love is that they can see all their shoes at the bottom of their closet. This also allows me to see how many pairs of shoes they have so I don't keep buying new shoes thinking that they don't have shoes that fit them.

It may seem strange, but the overwhelming toys and clutter were a big stress on me over the years. You helped eliminate much of that stress.
